I beg to bring to your metics the following cast,
and to ask your advice and interest in connexion therewith.
Anne Brown Mary Ethne Braun,aged sixteen years,
a pupil at the Disossan Girls' School, Kowloon, is anxious
ie preceed to England next spring in order to be trained as
a tesober at some training college possibly at Edinburgh.
The gi#1 is an orphaK, Her mother was Chinese.
Her father was Germen in the Chinese Oustoms.
Anna Braun vai bery in Kowloon and has lived
in the Gelony ever since.
she shows distinct premise of deing woll and I
shall be very much obliged if you can assure me that. no serieus difficulty seed is anticipated in the way of her
admission into England.
If you decide that it will be necessary or prudest
te communicate with the Home Office might I beg that if
possible an answer be requested to be mert by cable?
It will take time to make arrangements re APER
Braun and the time is zomo too long.
My wife and I expect to be leaving for England
in April or Karch – and we would gladly take Apna Braun with
us and I personally shall be quite ready to act sa
guarantor of her good conduct.
